Freeport, Grand Bahama Island – Bradford Marine Bahamas, one of the Bradford Marine family of companies, announces that they are growing significantly by adding available dockage at their Freeport shipyard facility.
Bradford Marine Bahamas is building new docks on the west side of their shipyard to provide 1200 lineal feet of new dockage to accommodate yachts and commercial vessels of all sizes, including the largest mega- and super-yachts. Construction is utilizing almost 2000 feet of steel pipe and 1000 feet of 16” steel I-beam, and the new docks are expected to be ready to use by December, 2008.
Paul Engle, Bradford Marine Bahamas’ President, said that “We are very excited about these new docks and our increased ability to service additional, larger yachts and commercial vessels. When complete, the new docks will be able to handle vessels up to 400’ LOA, and Captains and crews will find the new dockage area easily accessible, with deep draft and no overhead restrictions. In addition, with our new offices, we are fully-equipped to host mega- and super-yacht builders and provide facilities to accommodate all of their needs-in a tax-exempt, duty-free zone.”
With its easy port access, a 35-foot depth, a state-of-the-art 1,200-tonne floating drydock, and a 150-tonne Travelift™, Bradford Marine Bahamas’ shipyard in Freeport, Grand Bahama is able to attract boats of all types to utilize its highly-regarded, quality services. In addition, they provide towing, salvage, and vessel brokerage services in the Bahamas. Quality, customer satisfaction, responsiveness, and top-of-the-line service are watchwords at Bradford Marine Bahamas.
